This animation reel showcases some of my work from various news organizations.
This passion project was started in 2016. The owners have an appreciation for agave based spirits and wanted that to be reflected in the logo and branding. This proof of concept, Las Almas Rotas, has moved to an established business who is a James-Beard nominated bar.
Full disclosure: I am a co-owner and one of the founders of Las Almas Rotas. We will celebrate our 4th year, July 20th 2021.

This super fast pivot took about 3 days from concept to completion. The business had to adjust to a drive thru only business model.
The center agave is the Espadín varietal, which makes up to 85% of all Mezcal production. The bats, are an important part of propagation in sustainability efforts within the industry. The circles under the eyes represent the years the Mezcalero must attend to the crop. The dotted lines in the leaves represents terroir. Agave is the only spirit to have it.
Each guest was to receive a signed and number print.
I offer printmaking services and am open to commissions. This is some of the work I do through my studio, West of Here.
This was a commission for a client for their annual Thanksgiving get together down near Terlingua, TX. The main element was a mountain on the property that I carved a custom block of as well as other meaningful totems tied to the land and the event. I printed bandanas and notebooks for them.

Our friend wanted a reminder of his good friend, Willis. The color blocks on the border represent the years they spent together, 17. The block is included as a keepsake.
My client got married with the Cerrillos Hills in the background. For their 2 year Anniversary she wanted to gift cotton. I created a block of the mountain and printed 2 bandanas. Each with their personal styles kept in mind.

Custom font logo and social media branding for an antique dealer specializing in industrial and mid-century modern furniture.
Headdress is a small boutique located in Austin, Texas. The owners wanted an illustration of an elaborate Native American war bonnet on an unspecified animal as well as a type based logo. I chose a horse for its symbolism of pride and nobility, specifically the Appaloosa breed, due to it being native to North America.
The horse was originally done in pen and ink then scanned to create a vector file.
Pocket Full of Heirlooms is a purveyor of antiques and custom taxidermy vignettes.
Project Transitions is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving people with HIV and AIDS by providing supportive living, housing and hospice in compassionate and caring environments. They have two major fundraisers every year and I was lucky enough to be asked to donate my design time for both events. The events were full print campaigns and all designs were subject to approval by committee.
Dolly Python was a project I took on in 2014. The owner wanted to take the business, "to the next level". With my managerial and branding experience, I was able to add structure within the day to day running of the shop. My duties also included all re-branding, event planning and promotional needs both on social media and printed material.
The owner wanted to use this image of a black and white dog smoking a pipe that she had found in a vintage clip art book.
Software: Photoshop | Printed on a matte, heavy card stock.
The design of this sign was based off of antique fraternal lodge banners. The interior image is hand painted with gold enamel and acrylic paint. The canvas is a raw linen that was gessoed charcoal grey, with a black overlay, then sanded to appear weathered and aged. The reverse of the signage is a base of black felt with ocher stripes, sewn vertically to the back.

Sparkys Burgers located in Hatch, New Mexico is restaurant and roadside attraction with a retro theme. They needed an update to their existing logo as well as new menus, indoor signage, labels and business cards.
These are some shots taken while pursuing my other passion, traveling.
